This total disregard for human life actually made me feel ill. I can only hope that there is something mentally wrong with this girl....as someone who grieved for years from the loss of a child through abortion, a loss which I ultimately, no matter how pressured, I gave in to, I cannot fathom purposefully getting pregnant and aborting multiple times for a paper! They call it induced miscarriages but it is induced abortion... My first instinct is that there should be a major consequence for this...then I am reminded, there will be....

Living Faith

Last night I went to the live EWTN show that Fr Groeshel does on Sunday nights. His guest was a friend of mine, Father MIchael Sepp.

Father Michael was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer (not a smoker)a few months ago. It is also in his knees, back and hip.

Father is an extraordinary priest..very humble and gentle. Also very loved. It was no surprise to me that he chose to do the show so he could share being terminal with those out there in the TV audience who are experiencing the same thing. when he was first diagnosed, he shared with me that it was now time "to put into practice" what he had been telling many people over his 25 years of priesthood.

He says, he feels "blessed" since learning of his illness. He no longer takes things  for granted, and,he has a great deal of support around him between family, friends and parishioners.

Unlike what most would do at this extremely private time, he is sharing his journey with is parishioners in his homilies, and teaching them how to die with faith. He is exposing the merciful love of God...

When I got home I was thinking of how we share our stories for the same reason... mine is one of God bringing good out of my worst sin by using it to bring me to His mercy. Father Michael's is one of a humble holy priest, allowing God to use HIm to speak of His goodness and mercy in the midst of suffering.

I felt very blessed to have gone to the show, and I have always felt blessed to know him...please keep him in your prayers as he continues to be an example of living faith amid suffering and trials...

The Shameof Abortion

I received a note today from a woman who passed on to me some materials she had received in the mail regarding abortion and Planned Parenthood.

This woman touched my heart. As I read on and found she was in her 70's and still suffering silently from 3 abortions she experienced in her youth over 50 years ago.  Although she says she accepts God's forgiveness she is unable to forgive herself.

She did not include her name or address...something not uncommon..the guilt and shame of abortion often lock women into years of painful isolation..

Please pray for this woman... that she would find the courage to step out in faith and get the help she needs to work through the pain. No matter how old we are, Gods mercy is there, and with it comes an understanding and the ability to forgive ourselves...for who are we not to do that if God has.

Saline Abortion

Anyway, one post was from Valerie Jane "Saline abortions, obsolete?" She speaks of the fact that although the pro abortion side would like everyone to believe they do not do these anymore, there are still at least 12 a day...thousands a year. She is right abut their denial. When I spoke at Mt Sinai medical school a few years ago, a pro abortion doctor was there and tried to blow off my witness by saying saline abortions were obsolete.. she, thank God, did not succeed.

Some of you who have heard my witness will remember that the abortion I was pressured to have by my dad was a saline abortion. I truly do not think anyone in my family knew the truth of this abortion, and until the day he died I never told my dad what I had experienced. No matter how angry he was at me at the time, I find it hard to believe any parent would consent to this.

Just seeing the pictures on the site made me cry...not for myself...I am truly blessed with healing...which does not mean I am not sorry, or that I have forgotten the horror of seeing my burnt dead son on the bed after I gave birth to him,(I do not want to ever forget) but I cried, of course for the babies, and also for the women who are undergoing these and any abortions.

All abortion is horrific...some people can relate more to the horror  of certain kinds, but they all do the same thing...today I will remember especially those who have undergone saline abortions, that they may come to know the great Mercy and forgiveness of God...

So, this man will be held responsible  for  his actions and that is good, but countless others force aboriton on women daily, although not in such a  deceptive way, and are never held responsible....

Jesus, we trust in you!

These are exciting times. I first heard of the "Divine Mercy" message from a friend about 18 years ago. Being so in need of God's mercy, I quickly clung to it, devouring every bit of info I could get.

The chaplet became a daily part of my life as was going to the National Shrine in Stockbridge each year to celebrate the feast day.

Those of you have who have heard my testimony know that I end it most often, with a quote from St Faustinas autobiography.."Let the greatest sinners place their trust in my mercy..."

Over the more than 15 years of doing post abortion ministry, it have been my desire to spread this message of mercy to those suffering from a past abortion. Throughout our "Entering Canaan" post abortion ministry that I do with the Sisters of Life, the message of God's infinite Mercy prevails.

It is so exciting to see it become world known as it continues to grow...it is also an answer to prayer to have Pope Benedict address mercy for those post abortive.

As we prepare for his vist to the states next week, may we all pray that that message reaches countless people who are separated from God because of abortion. My they put their trust in Jesus and His great love for them, and step out in trust to find the help they need and the love and healing only He can give.

Jesus, we trust in you!
