I received a note today from a woman who passed on to me some materials she had received in the mail regarding abortion and Planned Parenthood.
This woman touched my heart. As I read on and found she was in her 70's and still suffering silently from 3 abortions she experienced in her youth over 50 years ago. Although she says she accepts God's forgiveness she is unable to forgive herself.
She did not include her name or address...something not uncommon..the guilt and shame of abortion often lock women into years of painful isolation..
Please pray for this woman... that she would find the courage to step out in faith and get the help she needs to work through the pain. No matter how old we are, Gods mercy is there, and with it comes an understanding and the ability to forgive ourselves...for who are we not to do that if God has.
