More and more people in this administration support abortion unconditionally, and completely disregard the suffering of  people who have experienced them.

As you remember the American Psychological Association denied post abortion syndrome which really is no surprise because the people who did the research  also serve on pro abortion organizations. http://www.apa.org/releases/abortion-report.html Personally, it makes me angry that our experiences are disregarded...the so called research they did has never reached out to the many post abortive organizations around the country where countless women and men are statin ghow abortion hurt them. They obviously only wanted one answer. I would love to know where they get their data, but I can guess it is NARAL or Planned parenthood.

So once again we are back to," if your abortions bother you it must be because you have prior psychological/emotional problems"...as if it is impossible that abortion would bother you because you have participated in death of your child....tif it bothers you you must be unstable!

Obama's nominee for Deputy Attorney General , David Ogden, wrote and filed an amicus brief on behalf of the American Psychological Association for the Supreme Court's seminal decision in Casey v. Planned Parenthood (1992).

  In it, David Ogden argued:
  (1) "Abortion rarely causes or exacerbates psychological or emotional problems.  When women do experience regret, depression, or guilt, such feelings are mild and diminish rapidly without adversely affecting general functioning.  The few women who do experience negative psychological responses after abortion appear to be those with preexisting emotional problems ...."
  and
  (2) "In sum, it is grossly misleading to tell a woman that abortion imposes possible detrimental psychological effects when the risks are negligible in most cases, when the evidence shows that she is more likely to experience feelings of relief and happiness, and when child-birth and child-rearing or adoption may pose concomitant (if not greater) risks or adverse psychological effects ...."

I think Mr Ogden should come and meet with me, and I can introduce him to countless women and men who feel differently...but wait, that would mean abortion is not so great, and they want to keep it unrestricted at any cost, even the cost of womens health....

Self forgiveness

while they do seem to promote abstinence to some extent I was upset to see they only state the negative about pregnancy and choosing life but NOT ONE word is said about the consequences of abortion.
Looks like I am going to have to write to them...

reminds of Obamas words about his daughters ruining their lives with a pregnancy..he has no diea how ruined their lives would be from abortion....

I feel sorry for kids these days...thank God for God

Teen Pregnancy Rates Rising

I took this article from a pro choice site./ If it were not so sad it may be funny. The blame abstinence for the rise in pregnancy rates...not TV which urges sexual activity at a young age, or sex education that teaches kids from elementary school when they should be playing with dolls, or Planned Parenthood who tell them anything goes..no, it has to be abstinence...

It breaks my heart knowing many of these pregnancy will end in abortion. I have seen so many young teens who aborted without their parents knowing, and some who are forced to abort whose moms are post abortive themselves. IT is awful and unfortunately many of them suffer for years.
when are people going to wake up and see how destructive these groups are to our kids who deserve to be able to be kids....


CDC Report Indicates Teen Pregnancy Rates Rising

1/26/2009 - A new report published this month by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) indicates that teen pregnancy rates are rising. The CDC, reported significant increases in the teen pregnancy rate in 26 states in 2006, ending a 15 year decline in teen pregnancy statistics.

Regionally, the northeast has the lowest and the south and southwest have the highest teen pregnancy rates. The new data shows the greatest increases in teen pregnancy rates in Alaska, Mississippi, Montana, Hawaii, and Nevada.

A number of factors including a rise in highly publicized teen pregnancies, abstinence-only programs, and a disproportionate number of pregnancies among minority teenagers are theorized to be influencing the rise in teenage pregnancy.

Paul Sutton of the National Center for Health Statistics told USA Today that "to see 26 states with statistically significant increases is fairly remarkable….we're seeing increases in both the number of teens having births and also the rate at which they are having births. Both of them are going up."

Msgr William Smith

Well, I have to say, New York, and all Catholics everywhere have lost two great leaders in our faith recently. Fr Neuhaus , and now today I have learned that Msgr William Smith,professor of moral theology at St. Joseph's Seminary, Yonkers, New York, has passed away.

The Sisters of Life and I were just speaking of him in the car the other night when we were in DC.  MSgr Smith was a great defender of human life and morality and spoke often here in NY. A serious man I remember being intimidated by him before my understandin gof the faith grew.

I heard about Mgrs death at mass today but then search for more news on the computer and found this
