New Years Prayer

Lord, help us to lead each soul to You, the only true Healer.

Never allow us to exploit those you send to us

for what we may see as the good of the cause

or to show the wrong of abortion.

 

Help us to always value the dignity and worth of each life

Including all those touched by abortion.

May we never tell them where we think they should be,

or to do what we think they should be doing,

but may we always prayerfully and lovingly place them into your hands

knowing you will direct their paths through a spiritual leader

while also learning about the dynamics of post abortion.

 

May those we serve never hurt their families deeper

by speaking out before telling them of a lost sibling or family member

May healing first come from within and in each of their families members

who have been wounded by the sin of abortion,

 knowing your great love and desire for their healing first and foremost.

 

Let us not put our trust in any leader aside from You

knowing you are the only one who can end abortion

We know oh Lord that if we serve without self seeking,

You will do the rest because you know before all others

 what our needs are and you love us more than we can ever love.

 

Help us always to keep our eyes on You no matter how things seem

 knowing if we do this we can never fail in spite of how things may look

 or what our emotions may be telling us.

Remind us always of the “failure” of Calvary in the eyes of the world

And yet, in truth, it is there our redemption, the greatest victory, was won.

 

We thank you Lord, for the gift of your Love and Mercy

and for the gift of faith you have given us.

Guide us in this next year to be true disciples of your life.

May many return to You, the source of Life, You, who are Mercy itself.

Cannot help but think of Mary when I read this story. A Christmas grace...wish there were more places like the Texas Center for Defense of Life throughout the country to stop forced abortion.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Attorneys with Texas Center for Defense of Life (TCDL) representing a 14-year-old girl secured a temporary restraining order (TRO) on Wednesday from a Texas court that blocks several of her family members from forcing her to have an abortion against her will.

The teenager’s family members had scheduled an appointment for her to have the abortion at a local Corpus Christi clinic this week. The girl has been under intense pressure to have the abortion, was physically assaulted last week by one family member, and has been prevented from attending school. The unborn child’s teenage father and his mother also do not want the baby killed and have supported the girl’s decision to keep the child. The court order prohibits the girl’s family members “either directly or indirectly from forcing her to have an abortion against her will,” which includes taking her to any abortion clinic.

“Roe v. Wade and ‘choice’ go both ways… if it protects the constitutional rights of a girl or woman to have an abortion, oftentimes without even parental notification or consent, it likewise protects the right of that same girl or woman to not have an abortion against her will” said TCDL President and CEO Greg Terra.

Blessed Christmas!

 

In that region there were shepherds living in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. Then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger.’ 

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying,
‘Glory to God in the highest heaven,
   and on earth peace among those whom he favors!’

 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us go now to Bethlehem and see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.’ 

So they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the child lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known what had been told them about this child; and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them. 

But Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart. 

The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.

I will be away for the next week, enjoying family, visiting one of my favorites places, Newport RI, and hopefully getting some R&R, so posting will be light if at all. I pray you all have a very Blessed Christmas filled with the Presence of the gift of Mercy Himself as we celebrate this Christmas season.

Regulated Clinics

It is about time..every clinic should be regulated...so many women have died or been injured in supposedly safe clinics...it is a shame that something so horrific had to happen before this occurred. Let's pray

Pennsylvania Gov. Signs Bill Requiring Abortion Clinics to be Regulated as Ambulatory Surgical Facilities

Abortionist Kermit Gosnell

Early on it seemed as if a bill to insure there would be no more Kermit Gosnell “House of Horrors” might pass quickly. But while it took perhaps longer than expected, Pennsylvania Senate Bill 732 is now law, thanks to the signature today of Gov. Tom Corbett. What is unmistakable is that the law is a direct consequence of what took place (in the words of a hugely influential Grand Jury report)  “a baby charnel house.”

One by one Gosnell’s staff, including his wife, Pearl, have pled guilty to charges up to and including third-degree murder. Gosnell himself faces eight counts of murder—seven babies aborted alive and one woman who died of a drug overdose.

Senate Bill 732 requires that the 22 freestanding abortion clinics meet the same safety standards as ambulatory surgical facilities. The new law includes unannounced inspections of abortion facilities. Gosnell’s Women’s Medical Society in West Philadelphia was rarely inspected and not at all after 1993.

It is telling that the raid on Gosnell’s abortion clinic in February 2010 had nothing to do with abortion. Federal agents suspected Gosnell was running a “pill mill,” illegally dispensing pills, particularly OxyContin prescription. (Last week, in a 23-charge indictment, the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Eastern District charged Gosnell and members of his staff with illegally prescribing highly-addictive painkillers and sedatives.)

In that raid  agents found jars packed with severed baby feet lining the shelves; bags and bottles of aborted fetuses scattered throughout the office; bloodstained furniture and floors; and unlicensed employees who regularly injected sedatives into women having illegal, late-term abortions, according to Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams. All this led to a massive 281-page Grand Jury report and eventually to Gosnell being charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of seven babies aborted alive and reportedly then killed when their spines were severed; and with third-degree murder in the case of the 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar, who died from a drug overdose reportedly prescribed by Gosnell. 

The legislation provides that abortion clinics would have six months to comply with the regulations.  Abortion clinics have also broadly hinted that they will apply to the state Department of Health for waivers on the requirements.
