Magicians use distraction techniques to draw the audience's attention away from whichever hand is engaged in sleight of hand. Magicians can accomplish this by encouraging the audience to look elsewhere or by having an assistant do or say something to draw the audience's attention away. Wikipedia
Although they’re not in the business of magic, Planned Parenthood has definitely mastered the art of distraction. With select talking points and deceit, they divert the attention of the public so that they will not look at what’s really going on behind closed doors.
To hear Planned Parenthood officials tell it, you would think the videos recently released by the Center for Medical Progress were about ending the legalization of abortion, or destroying “women’s health care.” And let’s not forget that “war on women” they keep telling us about. It’s a wonder there are any of us women left it has been waging for so long!
Planned Parenthood also wants you to believe it’s a helpless victim in an attack by right wing conspirators, or that the videos are a ploy of the Republicans, timed exactly to go along with the debates.
They’re pointing in so many directions the public can get dizzy just following them.
And they’ve had plenty of help from their friends in the media. In an article published August 5th, “ How Planned Parenthood hoax avoids the truth”, CNN’s Errol Louis says: “Taking a page from the falsehoods and selectively-edited videos that brought about the defunding and bankruptcy of the left-wing advocacy group ACORN, the Center for Medical Progress strategy is to create a narrative, claim that its videos constitute damning evidence, and repeat that story enough times to give politicians the ‘proof’ they need to attack Planned Parenthood.”
But what Louis fails to mention is that unedited copies of the videos – and complete transcripts – were released from the very beginning. Anyone with an internet connection can pull them up. Louis knows this, of course, but like other journalists willing to compromise their objectivity when it comes to abortion, Louis simply repeated Planned Parenthood’s disingenuous talking points.
And no matter how many narratives Planned Parenthood officials and abortionists create, nothing can change the words coming out of their very own mouths, or the horrific pieces of baby body parts they’re holding up in the unedited footage. It is about SELLING BABY PARTS.
And let’s not forget Elizabeth Warren’s speech to the Senate: “Do you have any idea what year it is?” Warren asked, speaking before Monday’s Senate vote on the defunding bill. “Did you fall down, hit your head and think you woke up in the 1950s or the 1890s? Should we call for a doctor?” She goes on and on about birth control, women’s bodies and abortion restrictions. She tells us she is “sick and tired” and that women are sick and tired, but not once does she address the real issue, selling the body parts of unborn babies. Hey Elizabeth, this is not about abortion access. It is about SELLING BABY PARTS.
CNN also tried to tie David Daleiden of the Center for Medical Progress to “violent extremists,” but we did not see a shred of real evidence to support those claims. It is about SELLING BABY PARTS.
And then of course we have Hillary Clinton: “I’m proud to stand with Planned Parenthood, I’ll never stop fighting to protect the ability and right of every woman in this country to make her own health decisions.” Hello Hillary! Are you there? It is about SELLING BABY PARTS.
Yes, Planned Parenthood and their friends have mastered the art of distraction, but the general public is learning to look past the sleight of hand. Too many women have been hurt by the likes of Planned Parenthood. Too many women have been deceived and lied to and know the truth from personal experience. Too many women are horrified that parts of unborn babies are sold for profit, and that abortionists have literally changed their procedures to extract specific body parts.
Sorry Planned Parenthood, but your total disregard for women is evident and your audience just looked where you did not want it to go.
POOF – with any luck we will make you disappear.
