I am sure many of you remember, as I do, the Halloween costume of the bloody doctor, often carrying a hatchet or some other instrument of violence with blood covering his scrubs. As a child, the thought of such an act sent terror through me, because I knew doctors to be healing and caring. It was so contrary to my reality.
In this day and age that gruesome display is not just a Halloween costume anymore, but a reality. We may not see that doctor walking down the street, or even bloody, but through their own words we hear the horror and through videos like the ones by the Center for Medical Progress, we now see what we would have thought was unthinkable at an earlier time in our society.
In the videos, (which can be seen in their unedited entirety on the Center for Medical Progress website), we hear doctors speak freely about how they keep an unborn child’s organs intact during abortion for prospective buyers. This harvesting of baby parts and organs is, sadly, not something out of Jekyll and Hyde, but occurs in Planned Parenthood Clinics where organs are obtained and sold every single day.
It makes me angry. Contrary to what Planned Parenthood would like us to believe (both about the editing and consent for donations), after over twenty years of working with post abortive women, I know they are not in the state of mind to be signing anything when they go for an abortion. I would bet my life that the majority of them have absolutely no clue they have given permission for such an act, or understand the implications. It is despicable.
These acts have brought trauma to countless women who have experienced abortion, often adding to the emotional, physical, and spiritual suffering they are undergoing. But, Planned Parenthood would never admit to this. As much as they profess to care about women, they refuse to acknowledge the damage it does in spite of how many women come forward to proclaim it. Abortion has become their god and the profit is worth more to them than any woman.
They hide behind “women’s health" sound bites, when in reality they have destroyed the emotional, and sometimes physical health of countless women through their barbaric acts. This brings me to the actor, Lena Dunham.
Rumor has it that Lena, cool, shocking, and progressive as she tries to be, will dress up as an abortionist for Halloween. I must say she has nailed it on the head this time. See, we don’t need that costume of a doctor that use to scare us as children, we have actors like Lena giving us the real thing and saying more than she even realizes.
Lena likes to think of herself as a defender of girls, but in reality she only adds to the dismay of those who are suffering from abortion. She is a defender of abortion and Planned Parenthood, not girls.
Yes, we have the horrors of Halloween every day right down the street from us in abortion clinics, and sadly, our tax dollars are funding them.
