I thought I would share this prayer I say every year in preparation for Christmas. It begins on the Feast of St Andrew, November 30th and continues until December 25th. You recite it 15 times a day.
I find in the hustle and bustle of the season, it pulls me back and helps me to stay focused on the true meaning of Christmas...I always find it very beautiful.
Hail and blessed be the hour and moment
in which the son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary,
at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold.
In that hour vouchsafe, O my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires,
through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ,
and of His blessed Mother. Amen.
