I am thankful to God for a totally phenomenal day at "A Time for Mercy," a post abortion symposium on Saturday, November 14, 2015.
When I went to bed Friday night after having picked up Dave Reardon of the Elliott Institute at the airport, I kept thinking of the heartbreaking attacks in Paris. At first my human nature thought, "After what just happened, this symposium seems so unimportant." But it only took me a minute to realize just the opposite was true. The events in Paris made the symposium even more important.
Millions of people are separated from God because of abortion, and educating people so more of them can reach out to bring the separated back to God actually makes the symposium critical in light of what can and is happening in our world.
I want to thank Maureen Ciardiello from the Bridgeport Diocese for co-sponsoring the day with me. Also, a huge thank you to our keynote speakers, Dave Reardon, PhD, of the Elliot Institute and Rev. Dermot Roache, SMA of Family Divine Mercy for their amazing talks. I am also grateful for our inspiring and humble witness, thank you Briana!
Thank you to our workshop presenters, Greg Bottaro, Ph.D., Rosalie Taney, and Rev. Mariusz Koch, CFR for being an integral part of the symposium. Thank you as well to Rachel's Vineyard, Hopeline, Silent No More, Entering Canaan, Regret, Post abortion portraits, and of course, Lumina for having representatives on site with information and guidance.
Lastly, thank you to all those who attended the postabortion symposium with an open heart and a desire to learn and reach out to those suffering from abortion. We know you will be amazing instruments for God and will help to bring many people back to Mercy Himself!
Jesus, we trust in You!
