So, I leave in a little while to head out to North Dakota with Father Mariusz Koch, CFR to do a priest training. I must admit I have mixed feelings.
First of all, I will be away for election day which is both good and bad. The day will be very busy tomorrow, so, I will not be able to follow the news, which of course will be a blessing in many ways. It will also be nice to be with Father and the wonderful people of Fargo, praying together and offering up the day.
Things have been very busy at Lumina lately. New people everyday. It got me to thinking how if Hillary is president abortion will be on the front lines all the time and many suffering will be thrown into a constant state of having it before their faces since she is sure to give Planned Parenthood a lot of power. So, I am very happy to be doing the priest training in order to have more clergy trained in post abortion healing.
I have a lot of thoughts on this as we enter this election. Much more than I have time to write about now, but for myself, the reminder is keeping my eyes on Jesus. It is so easy to allow all this political stuff to throw us into a frenzy and cause anxiety in our hearts, but the truth is our peace comes from Jesus who died on the cross for our salvation. This world is turning more and more secular, even with questions now if the Hillary campaign is tied to the occult. It would not surprise me given their beliefs...this truly is a battle between good and evil.
Let us never forget that the battle has already been won. Yes, there may be much we have to go through and suffer in this life in order for people to turn back to God, but the eternal victory is ours. I pray that we may be courageous and keep our eyes and our focus on that, while at the same time reaping a harvest of souls for Him.
As my post a few days ago stated, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil” (v. 11). - Ephesians
I know Jesus will not let us down!
On another note, please pray for the book which finally reaches Stockbridge today! Don;t know if I will be able to post at all the next few days. I do have a few things scheduled to go up so if not, I will be back Thursday. May we trust in the mercy and goodness of God no matter what the election result is. Jesus, we trust in you!
