When I think of Mary Magdalene, I of course, think of the mercy of God and His forgiveness.
He touched her with His love and she was changed forever, fearless in her love for Him because she knew what He had freed her from.
Lately, I have also been meditating on her relationship with Mary. Accompanying her on the way of the cross, at the cross and I am sure in the upper room after the crucifixion. A hidden relationship, sharing the sufferings of Christ only they knew. I imagine they were very close, joined in the love of Christ. May I also keep Mary as a companion in this journey through life to keep me always close to Jesus.
Mary Magdalene, help me to always have the courge and strength to proclaim the love of Christ no matter what. May I always be grateful and never forget, not even for a moment the mercy He has shown me...
If you are stuck in feeling "unforgiveable" because of your abortion, just think of and pray to St Mary Magdalene who knows the immensity of sin but also the immensity of God's mercy!
St Mary Magdalene, pray for us!
