So were the words to us from Pope John Paul II in the Gospel of Life. I believe they apply here as well.
The same God who bestowed His mercy on us and still seeks to mend the brokenhearted, is in charge.
We may not see what He is doing. We may not understand. We may "feel" disheartened, but He is there, carrying us!
Words of Our Lady to Juan Diego...it is a comfort:
Listen, Put it into your heart, my smallest child, that the thing that frightened you, the thing that afflicted you is nothing:
Do not let it disturb you...
Am I not here, I who am your mother?
Are you not under my shadow and protection?
AM I not the source of your joy?
Are you not in the hollow of my mantle,
in the crossing of my arms?
