The irony of it all!
As I read a statement put out by NYC for Abortion Rights regarding the Prayer Vigils to Abortion Clinics and what they say about Fr Fidelis Moscinski, CFR I could not help but feel that what they were saying about him, was in fact, exactly what they have been doing.
Anyone who has witnessed the prayerful walks to the clinic and seen NYC Abortion Rights there would be quick to note who in fact is harassing, intimidating, and holding “offensive signs.”
What I think amazes me even more is that these people who claim to care so much about women, their rights, and their bodies, pay no heed nor do they do anything to protect women who are coerced into abortion, or injured or even killed by abortion.
Peacefully offering alternatives to those entering a clinic is a good thing. Especially for those choosing abortion because of pressures or lack of resources.
Chanting, screaming, up in your face, blacking passage and holding offensive signs are all the work of NYC for Abortion Rights. Last week, at the Brooklyn Vigil one of their crowd took my sign, which had a help number on it, and defaced it writing “God Loves Abortion” on it.
I would like to ask this group, what do they do for women who have been hurt by abortion? What plans do they have to protect those coerced by boyfriends, husbands, and parents? What legislation are they trying to pass for those women who have been killed by husbands or boyfriends because they refused to abort? How are they helping those women injured by abortion who may never be able to have any other children?
Sadly, I already know the answer. They do nothing for them. They are only interested in the legality and promotion of abortion, not actual people.
Church goers have every right to go and pray at clinics. They have every right to offer those entering alternatives. Many children have been saved and are alive today because these outreaches and many mothers are grateful to them.
As for Fr Fidelis, I can attest that he is there for the women before and after abortion and that there is not a violent bone in his body. Since 1973 over sixty million abortions have taken place in the United States. Over sixty million unborn babies slaughtered in the womb. Some of those babies were women, what about them?
It is plain to see, abortion is the work of evil and lies. Based on a lie from the beginning abortion continues to deceive women and hurt countless numbers of other people.
Want to see who is telling the truth? Come to a vigil and just watch- it won’t take long to see the truth and that if the prayer is not peaceful it is because NYC for Abortion Rights is there, doing the very things they accuse others of.
