“The great miracle of the Curé d'Ars,” someone has said, “was his confessional, besieged day and night.” It might be said with equal truth that his greatest miracle was the conversion of sinners.
Today is the Feast Day of St John Vianney known for his mortifications, sermons and confessions. He is often known as the “priests, priest”.
Today especially, may we pray for our priests, thanking God for them for bringing us the sacraments, and for perserverance in their vocations.
